How Does WooCommerce Integrate With ShipStation?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:49 pm

WooCommerce is a popular eCommerce platform for small to medium businesses. It is built on WordPress and is known for its ease of use and flexibility.

WooCommerce ships with a number of integrations out of the box, including USPS, UPS, and FedEx. However, it does not include ShipStation. Fortunately, there are a few ways to integrate WooCommerce with ShipStation.

Option 1: Use the WooCommerce Order ID

The first option is to use the WooCommerce Order ID when setting up your orders in ShipStation. This is the most straightforward way to integrate the two platforms.

To do this:

1.

In WooCommerce, go to Orders > All Orders.

2. Find the order you want to ship and click on it.

3. In the order details page, scroll down to the bottom and you will see the order number in the format “WC-12345”.

4. In ShipStation, go to Orders > New Order.

5. Paste the WooCommerce Order ID into the “Order Number” field and fill out the rest of the order information.

Option 2: Use a Plugin

If you prefer not to use the WooCommerce Order ID, or if you have a lot of orders to set up, you can use a plugin to automate the process.

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to sell products online, you may be wondering how to integrate it with ShipStation. There are a few things to be aware of when doing this integration, as it can be a bit tricky.

First, you need to make sure that your WooCommerce settings are configured correctly. In the Shipping tab, you need to select the shipping method that you want to use with ShipStation. If you are using flat rate shipping, you will need to enter the correct shipping amount in the field provided.

Next, you need to go to your ShipStation account and create a new custom field. In the Name field, enter “WooCommerce Order ID”. In the Value field, enter “{order_number}”. This will tell ShipStation to pull in the WooCommerce order number for each order.

Finally, you need to create a webhook in WooCommerce that points to your ShipStation account. This will allow WooCommerce to send data to ShipStation whenever an order is placed or updated.

You can find more information on how to do this integration in the WooCommerce documentation.

There are a few plugins that will allow you to automatically send your WooCommerce orders over to ShipStation, including:

• WP Lister Pro for eBay and Amazon

• AutomateWoo

• Zapier

Each plugin has its own advantages and disadvantages, so be sure to do your research before choosing one. Once you have installed and activated the plugin of your choice, follow the instructions on how to set it up.

Option 3: Use ShipEngine

The third option is to use ShipEngine, which is a shipping software that integrates with WooCommerce (among other platforms).ShipEngine offers a free trial, so it’s worth checking out if you’re looking for a more robust shipping solution.

To set up ShipEngine:

1. Go to https://app.shipengine.com/ and sign up for an account.

2. Once you have an account, log in and go to My Apps > + New App.

3. Choose “WooCommerce” as your platform and fill out the rest of the information about your store.

4. Follow the instructions on how to connect your WooCommerce store to ShipEngine.

5. Once you have connected your store, you can begin shipping your orders through ShipEngine.

Conclusion:

There are a few different ways that you can integrate WooCommerce with ShipStation. The best method for you will depend on your needs and preferences.

If you have a lot of orders to ship, or if you want a more robust shipping solution, thenShipEngine might be the best option for you. Otherwise, using the WooCommerce Order ID or a plugin are both viable options.
