How Do I Remove Pre Footer From Squarespace?

If you’re using Squarespace, you may have noticed that there’s a pre-footer area on your site. This is an area where you can add additional information, such as links to your social media profiles or a signup form for your newsletter.

While the pre-footer can be useful, you may find that you don’t need it or that it’s getting in the way of the rest of your content. If that’s the case, then you can remove the pre-footer from your Squarespace site. Here’s how:

1. Log into your Squarespace account and go to the Settings area for the site you want to edit.

2. In the Site tab, scroll down to the Advanced section and find the Use Pre-Footer setting.

3. Toggle the switch to “Off” and then click Save.

And that’s it! Once you save your changes, the pre-footer will be removed from your site. If you ever want to add it back, simply follow the same steps and toggle the switch back to “On. ”

PRO TIP: Pre footer content on Squarespace can be removed by going to Design > Content > Page Settings. Under the General tab, scroll down to the Pre Footer Content section and select the Disable Pre Footer Content checkbox.

The pre-footer can be a useful addition to your Squarespace site, but if you find that it’s getting in the way or that you don’t need it, then you can easily remove it. Just follow the steps outlined above and toggle the switch to “Off.”
