If you’re a GoDaddy customer, you can connect your domain to Squarespace in just a few steps. We’ll walk you through the process below.

First, log in to your GoDaddy account and open your product list. Then, find your domain name and click the DNS button next to it.

In the DNS Management page, scroll down to the Custom Records section and click Add.

For the Type, select A from the drop-down menu.

In the Name field, enter @ or leave it blank.

For the TTL, select 1 Hour from the drop-down menu.

In the Data field, enter 185.199.108.153 or 192.168.1.

Click Save Zone File at the bottom of the page.

Next, log in to your Squarespace account and open Site Manager > Domains > Connect Domain.

Enter your domain name in the Domain field and click Continue.

On the next page, select DNS & Nameservers > Use Custom Nameservers.

Enter the four nameservers provided by GoDaddy:

    NS75.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

    NS76.COM

    NS77.COM

    NS78.COM

    Click Save & Exit.

It can take up to 48 hours for these changes to take effect.

PRO TIP: If you are using Squarespace to build your website, be aware that it can take some time for Squarespace to connect to your GoDaddy account. This is especially true if you are using GoDaddy’s default DNS settings. It is recommended that you change your DNS settings to use Squarespace’s DNS servers before you begin building your site. Otherwise, you may experience delays in connecting your domain to your Squarespace site.
