Your site is in Development Mode. When you first create a site on Squarespace, it’s automatically placed in Development Mode. This is indicated by the “Not Secure” warning in the address bar and a banner at the top of your site that says, “Your site is currently in development mode.”

To remove the “Not Secure” warning, you’ll need to launch your site.

Your site is using HTTP. Squarespace sites are built on HTTPS, which encrypts communication between your site and its visitors. This helps protect against things like session hijacking and man-in-the-middle attacks.

To remove the “Not Secure” warning, you’ll need to switch your site to HTTPS only.
