Can You Edit a Blog Post After Publishing Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:03 am

PRO TIP: If you edit a blog post after publishing on Squarespace, any changes you make will not be saved. Make sure you save your changes before publishing, or else they will be lost.

You can absolutely edit a blog post after publishing on Squarespace! In fact, it’s really easy to do.

Just login to your account, navigate to the post in question, and click on the “Edit” button. From there, you can make any changes you want and then hit “Save.”

There are a few things to keep in mind when editing blog posts, though. First, if you change the URL of the post, any links that point to the old URL will no longer work. So if you’re planning on making any major changes that would require a new URL, it’s best to do that before publishing.

Second, if you have any comments enabled on your blog post, those will be reset when you make edits. So if you want to keep the comments that have already been made, you’ll need to disable comments before making any changes.

Finally, keep in mind that Squarespace saves versions of your posts as you make edits. So if you accidentally delete something or make a change you don’t like, you can always go back and Restore an earlier version of the post.

Overall, editing a blog post after publishing on Squarespace is easy and straightforward. Just login to your account, navigate to the post, and click on the “Edit” button. Keep in mind though that if you make any changes that require a new URL, you’ll need to disable comments before making any changes.
