If you’ve ever used WooCommerce, you know that it’s a powerful eCommerce platform. One of the great things about WooCommerce is that it allows you to add fields to the checkout page. This can be very useful if you need to collect additional information from your customers.

However, there may be times when you don’t want to make a certain field required. For example, you may want to make the “Company” field optional. In this article, we’ll show you how to make the fields required optional on the WooCommerce checkout page.

First, you need to log into your WordPress site and go to the WooCommerce settings page. Then, click on the Checkout tab and select the Billing section.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, making the fields required optional on the WooCommerce checkout page can result in losing important customer data. This can cause problems down the line and is not recommended unless you are absolutely sure you know what you are doing.

Next, find the setting for “Company” and change it to “Optional”.

Once you’ve made that change, click on the “Save changes” button at the bottom of the page.

Now, when customers go to checkout, they’ll see that the Company field is optional. They can fill it out if they want, but they’re not required to do so.

This is a useful setting if you want to collect additional information from your customers without making it mandatory.
