WooCommerce is a great eCommerce platform for WordPress. It’s easy to use and has a lot of features. One of the things it doesn’t have by default is a mini cart.
A mini cart is a small shopping cart that appears in the header of your website. It allows customers to see what they’ve added to their cart without having to go to the full cart page. In this article, we’ll show you how to add a custom mini cart in WooCommerce.
Adding a mini cart in WooCommerce is actually pretty easy. The first thing you need to do is install and activate the WooCommerce Mini Cart plugin. For more information, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.
Once the plugin is activated, go to WooCommerce > Settings from the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard. This will open the main WooCommerce settings page. On this page, click on the Mini Cart tab from the top navigation menu.
This will take you to the Mini Cart settings page where you can configure the plugin settings. The first setting is for the Cart Page.
This is the page where customers will be taken when they click on the mini cart. By default, it is set to the WooCommerce Cart page, but you can change it to any other page on your website.
The next setting is for Empty Cart Page. This is the page customers will be taken to when they try to view their cart and it’s empty. By default, it is set to the WooCommerce Cart page, but you can change it to any other page on your website.
The last setting is for Cart Fragments. This enables AJAX so that changes made to the cart are shown in real time without reloading the page. We recommend leaving this setting enabled unless you’re experiencing issues with it.
Once you’re done configuring the settings, don’t forget to click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
