Creating a Variable Product in WooCommerce
Before you can add prices to variations, you need to create a variable product. A variable product is a product that comes in different variations, such as size, color, or style.
To create a variable product in WooCommerce, follow these steps:
- Log into your WordPress dashboard and go to Products » Add New.
- Enter a name for your product and then select “Variable product” from the Product Data dropdown menu.
- Click the “Publish” button to publish your product.

Adding Prices to Variations
- Now that you have created a variable product, it’s time to add some variations. Go to the “Product data” section and click on the “Variations” tab.
Then click on the “Add variation” button.
- You will now see the “Add variation” dialog box. Select the attributes for your first variation from the dropdown menus. In our example, we are adding a size attribute with two values: small and large.
- Click on the “Save changes” button.
- Repeat steps 4-6 for each variation that you want to add.
