How Do I Backup My WooCommerce Store?

Last updated on October 2, 2022 @ 1:03 am

There are a few different ways that you can backup your WooCommerce store. You can use a plugin, use an external service, or even do it manually.

Using a Plugin:

There are a few plugins that you can use to backup your WooCommerce store. One of the most popular is the BackupBuddy plugin. This plugin will allow you to create a full backup of your site, including your WooCommerce store.

You can also use the UpdraftPlus plugin. This plugin will allow you to create backups of your site and store them on an external service, such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

PRO TIP: Backups are extremely important, but often overlooked. It is critical to have a backup of your WooCommerce store before making any changes or updates. WooCommerce does not provide any automated backups, so it is up to the store owner to create and maintain backups. There are many ways to backup a WooCommerce store, but we recommend using a WordPress plugin like UpdraftPlus or BackupBuddy.

Using an External Service:

There are a few different services that you can use to backup your WooCommerce store. One of the most popular is Backupify. This service will allow you to create a full backup of your site, including your WooCommerce store.

You can also use the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Storage Gateway service. This service will allow you to create backups of your site and store them on Amazon S3.

Doing it Manually:

If you don’t want to use a plugin or an external service, you can also backup your WooCommerce store manually. To do this, you’ll need to login to your WordPress dashboard and go to the WooCommerce->Settings->Advanced tab.

From here, you’ll see a button that says “Export Store.” Click this button and you’ll be able to export your WooCommerce store as a .zip file.
