If you’ve ever changed a theme or switched to a new WordPress image size settings, you may have noticed that your thumbnails don’t always match up. That’s because each time you change your settings, WordPress regenerates the images for each size so that they match the new specifications.
But what if you’ve made some changes to your images and you want to regenerate the thumbnails without changing the settings? Maybe you’ve croped or edited an image in Photoshop and you want the changes to be reflected on your website.
Perhaps you’ve changed your mind about which thumbnail sizes you want to use. Whatever the reason, regenerate thumbnails in WooCommerce is easy.
There are two methods for regenerating thumbnails in WooCommerce:
1) The first method is to use a plugin like Regenerate Thumbnails. This plugin will automatically regenerate all of your thumbnail images for you without having to go through each image individually.
Simply install and activate the plugin, then go toTools > Regen. Thumbnails and click the Regenerate All Thumbnails button.
2) The second method is to regenerate thumbnails manually for each image. This can be done by going to your WordPress media library, selecting the image, and then clicking the “Edit” button. Under the “Thumbnail” section, click the “Regenerate” button.
Both methods will achieve the same results, so it’s really up to personal preference which one you choose. If you have a lot of images, regenerating thumbnails individually can be time consuming. In this case, using a plugin like Regenerate Thumbnails can save you a lot of time and effort.
