Is UI UX and graphic design same?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 10:19 pm

UI UX and Graphic Design are two separate disciplines that have their own unique methodologies and skillsets. UI UX is focused on the user experience, which includes the design and development of user interfaces. Graphic design is focused on the visual presentation of information, and often includes the use of typography, color, and layout. While there are similarities between the two disciplines, their respective methodologies and skillsets are often distinct.

PRO TIP: No, they are not the same. UI is User Interface design while UX is User Experience design. They are both important, but different, aspects of web and app design. Graphic design is a separate field altogether.

For example, UI UX designers may use prototypes to test user interactions and feedback, while graphic designers may use wireframes to illustrate the layout and design of a website or application. Ultimately, UI UX and graphic design are two separate disciplines with different goals and methods.
