Is UX UI design graphic design?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 10:42 pm

UX UI design is not graphic design. Graphic design is the process of creating designs for printed materials like brochures, magazines, or advertising. UX UI design is the process of designing interactive interfaces for digital applications.

Graphic designers typically focus on creating beautiful, well-organized designs that are easy to use. UX UI designers, on the other hand, focus on creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces that meet the needs of users.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that UX UI design is not the same as graphic design. While they both involve aspects of visual design, they are two distinct disciplines with different goals.

While there is some overlap between UX UI design and graphic design, the two disciplines are fundamentally different. UX UI design is focused on the user experience, while graphic design is focused on the look and feel of the finished product.

In addition, graphic designers typically work with a wide range of media, such as ink, paper, and pixels. UX UI designers, on the other hand, typically work with digital media only.

Ultimately, UX UI design and graphic design are two different disciplines that focus on different aspects of the design process. While there is some overlap, the two disciplines are ultimately distinct.
