How do I deactivate my BigCommerce blog?

When you create a blog on BigCommerce, you’re automatically granted access to the built-in blog tools. This includes the ability to add blog posts, manage comments, and track pageviews. To deactivate your blog, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your BigCommerce blog page.

2. In the top right corner, click the blue “Settings” button.

3. On the “Blog Settings” page, under “Blog Type,” click the “Deactivate” button.

4. Click the “Save Changes” button to finish.

Your blog is now deactivated and you won’t be able to add new posts or manage comments. To reactivate your blog, follow the same steps, but under “Blog Type” select “Active.”

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about deactivating your BigCommerce blog, please be aware that this will permanently delete all of your blog content. Please be sure that you really want to do this before taking any further action.

When your blog is deactivated, all the content you’ve published will remain online. You can still access your blog posts and comments, as well as track pageviews.

To remove all traces of your blog, follow the same steps, but under “Blog Type” select “Delete.”.
