How does BigCommerce integrate ShipStation?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 1:49 am

ShipStation is a shipping platform that connects merchants with carriers and freight forwarding providers. BigCommerce integrates with ShipStation to allow customers to purchase and ship products from the BigCommerce shopping cart.

BigCommerce users can create shipping addresses, select a shipping method, and track the shipping status of their order. Once the order is placed, ShipStation will contact the carrier and freight forwarding provider to get the order ready for shipping.

PRO TIP: BigCommerce does not integrate with ShipStation natively. However, there are a few third-party apps that can connect the two platforms. Before connecting BigCommerce and ShipStation, please be aware of the following:

1. BigCommerce does not support real-time shipping quotes in ShipStation. This means that you will need to set up your shipping rates in BigCommerce first, and then enter them manually into ShipStation.

2. BigCommerce orders will not automatically sync with ShipStation. You will need to set up a connection between the two platforms, and then manually sync your orders on a regular basis.

3. Connecting BigCommerce and ShipStation may cause delays in your order processing. Please plan accordingly and allow extra time for order fulfillment.

Once the order is shipped, the customer can track the shipping status online or through the ShipStation app. If the order is not delivered within the delivery window, the customer can file a claim with the carrier or freight forwarding provider.

Overall, integration with ShipStation allows BigCommerce merchants to effortlessly process and ship orders. This integration makes it easy for customers to purchase products and have them delivered quickly and efficiently.
