How do I make a flowchart in Illustrator?

An elaborated article about how to make a flowchart in Illustrator:

1. Open Illustrator and create a new document.

2. Select the Rectangle tool and create a 100 x 100 square in the middle of the document.

3. Select the Text tool and type the following text in the square:

5. Select the Ellipse tool and create a 100 x 100 oval next to the text.

6. Select the Rectangle tool and create a 100 x 100 square next to the oval.

7. Select the Pathfinder tool and create a 100 x 100 path connecting the squares and the oval.

8. Select the Flowchart icon from the Tools menu and click on the path to open the Flowchart window.

9. In the Flowchart window, click on the first square and type the word “Start” in the text field.

PRO TIP: When creating a flowchart in Adobe Illustrator, be sure to use the built-in shapes tool and not the pen tool. The shapes tool will create clean, vector shapes that can be easily resized and edited. The pen tool will create Bezier curves that are more difficult to edit.
