MX records are used to map an e-mail address to a hostname. Namecheap provides a MX record editor which can be used to create and edit MX records. To add an MX record to Namecheap, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Namecheap’s MX record editor.

2. Click the “Add new MX record” button.

3. Fill in the relevant information, including the hostname to which the e-mail address should be mapped, and the e-mail address to which the MX record should be pointing.

4. Click the “Submit” button to add the record.

5. The MX record will now be available for you to use in your DNS configuration.

To use it, add the hostname and the MX record’s IP address to your DNS server’s configuration.
