How do I make a clickable prototype InVision?

Making a clickable prototype in InVision is straightforward. First, create your prototype’s basic layout, including a header, body, and footer. Next, add clickable hotspots to your prototype’s layout.

InVision will automatically generate hotspots for you when you add a button, link, or other interactive element to your prototype. You can also add hotspots manually by clicking the “add hotspot” button in the hotspot editor.

Once you’ve added hotspots to your prototype, you need to create a clickable prototype preview. To do this, select the hotspots you want to make clickable, and then click the “ preview” button in the hotspot editor.

InVision will now create a preview of your prototype that includes only the clickable hotspots.

PRO TIP: When creating a clickable prototype in InVision, be sure to take into account the size and placement of your clickable areas. If your clickable areas are too small or too close together, it can be difficult for users to accurately click on them. Additionally, be sure to test your prototype on multiple devices and browsers to ensure that the clickable areas are working as intended.

To make your prototype clickable, you need to copy the preview’s code into your prototype’s code editor. You can do this by selecting the preview in the hotspot editor, and then clicking the “copy code” button.

Once you’ve copied the code, you can paste it into your prototype’s code editor, and then edit it as needed.

Finally, you need to add a link to your prototype’s preview in the “link” section of your InVision project’s settings. To do this, click the “link” button in the “link” section of your project’s settings, and then paste the URL for your preview into the text field that appears.

Your clickable prototype is now ready to test. To do this, invite a friend or colleague to test your prototype by clicking one of the preview’s hotspots.

If everything goes according to plan, they should be able to click the hotspot and view your prototype’s content.
