Adding a Namecheap domain to Heroku is easy. First, create a new Heroku account if you don’t have one. Then, go to Heroku’s domains page and click the Add a Domain button. Enter the domain you want to add, and click Add. You’ll be redirected to the Namecheap account settings page. On this page, you’ll need to enter the registration info for the domain. You can find this information in the Namecheap account summary or by clicking the Registration tab in the Namecheap account’s Overview page. Once you’ve entered the registration info, click the Save button. You’ll be redirected back to the domains page, where you’ll see your new domain listed under the registered domains section. Click the Domain button next to it to go to the domain’s settings page.

PRO TIP: Heroku is a cloud platform as a service (PaaS) that supports several programming languages. Add-on providers supply software and services that extend the functionality of Heroku applications.

Namecheap is not an add-on provider for Heroku. You cannot add your Namecheap domain to Heroku.

On this page, you’ll need to set the domain’s DNS settings. You can find these settings in the Namecheap account summary or by clicking the DNS tab in the Namecheap account’s Overview page. Click the Save button when you’re finished. You’re now ready to add your domain to your Heroku app. To do this, go to the app’s settings page and under the Add a dependency section, add the Heroku add-on for your language. (For example, if you’re using Ruby on Rails, you’d add the Heroku add-on.) Then, add the domain’s DNS settings under the Domain field. Finally, add your app’s name and click the Deploy button. You’ll see the domain’s website live on your Heroku app!.
