2FA (two factor authentication) is a security feature that requires users to input two pieces of information in order to access their account. Namecheap offers two factor authentication as a way to help protect your account from unauthorized access. To enable 2FA on your Namecheap account, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Namecheap account settings.

2. Click on “Account security” in the left sidebar.

3. Under “Two factor authentication” in the main section, click on the ” Enable ” button.

4. Enter your username and password, and then click on the ” Enable ” button.

5. You will now be prompted to enter your second factor authentication code.

This code can be found on your Namecheap account login page or on the confirmation page that is sent to your email address when you set up 2FA.

PRO TIP: If you are enabling 2FA on your Namecheap account, please be aware that you will need to have your phone with you when logging in. Without your phone, you will not be able to access your account.

6. Once you have entered your 2FA code, click on the ” OK ” button.

7. You will now be returned to the ” Account security ” page.

Under “Two factor authentication” in the main section, you will now see a ” Success ” message indicating that 2FA is enabled on your Namecheap account.
