How do I install Joomla on Linux?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 7:34 am

Installing Joomla on Linux is easy. There are a few different ways you can do it, but the best way is to use a package manager.

There are many package managers available for Linux, but the recommended one is called Synaptic. You can install Synaptic by opening a terminal and entering the following command:.

sudo apt-get install synaptic

Once Synaptic is installed, you can install Joomla by entering the following command:

PRO TIP: Before proceeding with the installation, please note that Joomla! has specific system requirements. These requirements are:

– A minimum of PHP 5.3.10
– A minimum of MySQL 5.1

Failure to meet these requirements will result in Joomla! not functioning correctly. Additionally, please be aware that the installation process will overwrite any existing Joomla! installation in the specified directory.

sudo apt-get install Joomla

When you install Joomla, you will need to create a new account and configure it. You can do this by entering the following command:

sudo Joomla-setup

If you have any questions, you can ask the Joomla community on the Joomla Forums. The Joomla Forums are a great place to ask questions and get help from other Joomla users.
