How do I move my Joomla site to akeeba backup?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 7:48 am

Moving your Joomla site to Akeeba Backup is a simple process. The first step is to create a new Akeeba Backup account.

Once you have created your account, you can visit the Joomla site you want to move and click on the “Backup and Restore” button. On the next page, you will need to select the “Move to Akeeba Backup” option.

PRO TIP: When moving your Joomla site to Akeeba backup, it is important to take note of the following:

– Make sure you have a full backup of your site before starting the process.
– Akeeba backup does not transfer your Joomla configuration, so you will need to reconfigure your site after the transfer is complete.
– Be sure to review the Akeeba documentation carefully before starting the transfer process.

Akeeba will then ask you to provide some information about the Joomla site. This information includes the site’s name, the hostname, and the IP address.

Once you have provided the information, Akeeba will begin the transfer process.

Once the transfer is complete, you will be able to access your Joomla site on Akeeba Backup. You can also restore your site if something goes wrong.
