Changing the editor in Joomla can be a little daunting, but if you are familiar with file management in your web browser, you can easily change the editor in Joomla.
To change the editor in Joomla:
1. Open your web browser and navigate to the Joomla site.
2. Click the “Site Name” hyperlink in the upper right corner of the Joomla home page.
3. In the “Site Name” window, click the “Edit” link in the “Editor” column.
4. In the “Editor” window, click the “Configure” link in the “Editor Options” column.
5. In the “Editor Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Text Editor” column.
6. In the “Text Editor” window, click the “Configure” link in the “Text Editor Options” column.
7. In the “Text Editor Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Language” column.
8. In the “Language” window, click the “Configure” link in the “Language Options” column.
9. In the “Language Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Editor” column.
10. In the “Editor Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Theme” column.
11. In the “Theme” window, click the “Configure” link in the “Theme Options” column.
12. In the “Theme Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Editor” column.
13. In the “Editor Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “CSS” column.
14. In the “CSS” window, click the “Configure” link in the “CSS Options” column.
15. In the “CSS Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Editor” column.
16. In the “Editor Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “JavaScript” column.
17. In the “JavaScript” window, click the “Configure” link in the “JavaScript Options” column.
18. In the “JavaScript Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Editor” column.
19. In the “Editor Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Web Forms” column.
20. In the “Web Forms” window, click the “Configure” link in the “Web Forms Options” column.
21. In the “Web Forms Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Editor” column.
22. In the “Editor Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “General” column.
23. In the “General” window, click the “Configure” link in the “General Options” column.
24. In the “General Options” window, click the “Settings” link in the “Browser Compatibility” column.
25. In the “Browser Compatibility” window, click the “Enable Compatibility Mode” checkbox.
26. In the “Browser Compatibility” window, click the “Save Changes” button.
27. Close the “Editor” window.
28. In the “Editor” window, click the “Save” button.
29. In the “Site Name” window, click the “Publish” link in the “Joomla Site” column.
30. In the “Joomla Site” window, click the “Save As” button.
31. In the “Save As” window, type “Joomla” in the “Save As Type” field.
32. In the “File Name” field, type “Joomla.config.”.
33. In the “Directory” field, type the path to your Joomla installation.
34. Click the “Save” button.
35. Close the “Joomla Site” window.
