How Do I Make a Shirt Template in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 8:34 pm

Have you ever seen a shirt that you really liked, but it didn’t quite fit right, or the style wasn’t quite what you were looking for? If you have a few basic supplies and a little bit of time, you can make your own shirt template in Photoshop to get the perfect shirt for your style.

First, gather your supplies. You will need a shirt that fits well, a piece of tracing paper or carbon paper, scissors, and pen or pencil.

Place the tracing paper over the front of the shirt and trace around all of the edges. Then, cut out the template along the traced lines.

Now you have your front shirt template! To trace the back of the shirt, simply lay the template flat on the ground and trace around it with your pen or pencil. Then cut out the back template along the traced lines.

Now you have both your front and back shirt templates! All that’s left to do is to decide what design you want on your new shirt, and get to work creating it in Photoshop. Remember to take into account where seams will be when you’re designing your shirt – you don’t want your design to end up looking distorted when it’s printed on a real shirt.

When you’re happy with your design, simply print it out on iron-on transfer paper and follow the instructions to transfer it onto your new shirt. Now you have a one-of-a-kind shirt that perfectly fits your style!

Making your own custom shirts is easier than ever with Photoshop – all you need is a little time and some basic supplies. With your own Shirt Template, you can create a design that’s exactly what you’re looking for, and get a perfect fit every time.
