How Do You Undo Unlimited in Photoshop?

In Photoshop, the undo command allows you to step backwards through your recent history of actions. You can use the undo command to remove your most recent changes, or you can use the history panel to remove any changes from your Photoshop document.

To undo your most recent change, press Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Cmd+Z (Mac).

To access your history panel, go to Window > History. From here, you can click on any previous state to revert to that version of the document. You can also click and drag the history states to rearrange them.

To delete a history state:

  1. In the history panel, hover over the state you want to delete. A trashcan icon will appear.

  2. PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, do not attempt to undo unlimited in Photoshop. This can lead to disastrous results, including the loss of your original image file.
  3. Click on the trashcan icon.

The undo command in Photoshop is a great way to quickly remove your most recent changes. However, if you want to remove multiple changes or revert to an older version of your document, the history panel is a better option.
