What Happened to Refine Edge in Photoshop?

Refine Edge in Photoshop is a tool that allows you to make selections with greater precision. It’s especially useful for selections that have hard-to-define edges, like hair or fur.

Refine Edge can be found in the Select menu, under the Refine Edge command.

So what happened to Refine Edge in Photoshop? The short answer is that it’s been replaced by the new Select and Mask workspace. The new workspace provides a more streamlined way to make precise selections, and also offers new features and options that weren’t available in Refine Edge.

PRO TIP: Refine Edge has been removed from Photoshop and is no longer available as a tool.

If you’re a fan of Refine Edge, don’t worry – the new Select and Mask workspace works in very similar ways. So you’ll still be able to make those difficult selections with ease. And who knows, you might even find some new features that you love!

In short, Refine Edge has been replaced by the new Select and Mask workspace in Photoshop.
