Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 11:04 pm

There are times when you may want to create a custom brush in Photoshop, and then save that brush so you can use it again in the future. Luckily, Photoshop makes it easy to do just that! In this article, we’ll show you how to save a custom brush in Photoshop.

First, open the Brush panel by going to Window > Brush. Then, select the brush you want to save as a custom brush. To do this, click on the brush thumbnail in the panel. Next, click on the “Edit” button at the top of the panel. This will open the Edit Brush dialog box.

PRO TIP: When you create a custom brush in Photoshop, it is automatically saved as part of the current Photoshop document. If you close the document without saving, your custom brush will be lost.

In the dialog box, make sure the “Brush Tip Shape” option is selected. Then, click on the “New Brush Preset” button at the bottom of the dialog box. This will open the New Brush Preset dialog box.

In the New Brush Preset dialog box, give your brush a name and click on the “OK” button.

Now your custom brush has been saved and can be used again in the future!
