Shaping an object in Photoshop is a bit like sculpting in the real world. You start with a lump of something, and then you chip away at it until you have the shape you want.
In Photoshop, the “chipping away” is done with the various transform tools. In this article, we’ll look at how to use some of those tools to reshape an object.
The first step is to select the object you want to reshape. If the object is already on its own layer, great!
If not, you’ll need to create a new layer for it. Once the object is on its own layer, use the Selection tool to select it. You can also use one of the other selection tools, but the Selection tool is usually the best choice for this.
Once the object is selected, go to the Edit menu and choose Transform. A submenu will appear with various transform options.
The options you’ll use most often are Scale, Rotate, and Skew. We’ll look at each of these in turn.
Scale:
Scaling an object means making it larger or smaller. To scale an object, select the Scale option from the Transform menu. You’ll see a bounding box appear around your object, with little squares in each corner and on each side.
To make your object larger, click on one of the corner squares and drag outwards. To make it smaller, click on a corner square and drag inwards. You can also hold down the Shift key while dragging to constrain the proportions of your object; that is, if you make it wider, it will automatically get taller (or vice versa).
Rotate:
Rotating an object means turning it around its center point. To rotate an object, select the Rotate option from the Transform menu.
You’ll see a circle appear around your object. Place your mouse cursor just outside this circle; when you see a curved arrow appear next to your cursor, click and drag to rotate your object.

In conclusion, shaping an Object in Photoshop is done by first selecting the Object using one of various selection tools available according to which part or area of image needs to be selected. After that Edit menu is chosen which provides different types of Transform options like Scale, Rotate or Skew etcetera according to requirement for desired results .
