Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 11:42 pm

There are many ways to align an image in Photoshop, but the most common and easiest way is to use the alignment tools located in the options bar. These tools allow you to align an image horizontally or vertically within the Photoshop canvas.

To align an image horizontally, select the ‘Align Horizontal Centers’ tool from the options bar. Then click on the image you wish to align and drag it towards the center of the canvas. The image will snap into place when it is horizontally aligned with the center of the canvas.

PRO TIP: When aligning an image in Photoshop, be careful not to move the image too much or you may cause the image to become distorted.

To align an image vertically, select the ‘Align Vertical Centers’ tool from the options bar. The image will snap into place when it is vertically aligned with the center of the canvas.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to quickly align an image horizontally or vertically. To do this, first select the ‘Move’ tool from the options bar. Then press ‘Shift+Ctrl+H’ (Windows) or ‘Shift+Command+H’ (Mac) to horizontally align the image, or press ‘Shift+Ctrl+V’ (Windows) or ‘Shift+Command+V’ (Mac) to vertically align the image.

Aligning images in Photoshop is a quick and easy process that can be done using either the alignment tools in the options bar or keyboard shortcuts. By following these steps, you can ensure that your images are properly aligned within your document.
