If you’re new to Photoshop, you may be wondering where all the icons are. Icons are the little pictures that represent different commands, tools, and functions in Photoshop.

They’re located throughout the interface, and knowing where to find them can make your life a lot easier. Here’s a quick guide to where you can find some of the most commonly used icons in Photoshop.

The Toolbar

The toolbar is probably the first place you’ll look for icons when you open Photoshop. It’s located at the top of the screen, and it contains all of the basic tools you’ll need to edit your images.

To select a tool, simply click on its icon. You can also press the letter that appears beneath each icon on your keyboard to select a tool. For example, pressing “B” will select the Brush tool.

The Options Bar

The options bar is located just below the toolbar. It changes depending on which tool you have selected, and it gives you additional options for each tool.

For example, if you have the Brush tool selected, the options bar will let you choose things like brush size and hardness. If you have the Type tool selected, the options bar will let you choose things like font and text size.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for the icons in Photoshop, be warned that they may be hidden. To find them, you may need to search through the menus or use the “Show All” command. If you still can’t find them, ask a friend or colleague for help.

The Layers Panel

The layers panel is one of the most important panels in Photoshop. It lets you control which parts of your image are visible, and it lets you make changes to individual layers.
