There are a few places where you can find overlays in Photoshop. One is the “Layer” menu at the top of the screen. Click on “Layer” and then scroll down to “Layer Style.”

Click on that and a drop-down menu will appear. Within that menu, you will see “Overlay.” Click on that and a new window will open up with all of the different overlay options.

Another place you can find overlays is within the “Filter” menu. Click on “Filter” and then scroll down to “Texture.”

PRO TIP: Overlays can be found in the Photoshop menu under ‘Window’ -> ‘Layers’. However, using overlays can significantly increase the file size of your image, so use them sparingly.

Click on that and a new window will open up with all of the different texture options. Within that window, you will see an option for “Overlay.” Click on that and you will be able to select from a variety of different overlays.

The last place you can find overlays is within the ” brushes” section. To get there, click on the brush icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

Then, click on the “Brushes” tab at the top of the new window that opens up. Within the brushes menu, you will see an option for “Overlays.

Wherever you decide to look for overlays in Photoshop, there are sure to be plenty of options available to choose from!
