How Do I Use the Lasso Tool in Photoshop?

Lasso is one of the basic selection tools in Photoshop. It allows you to draw a freehand selection around an object. The lasso tool can be used in several ways, but the most common is to make a rough selection around an object, and then use the refine edge option to clean up the selection.

To use the lasso tool, first select it from the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Then, click and drag around the object you want to select. The selection will be rough, so you’ll need to use the refine edge option to clean it up.

PRO TIP: The Lasso Tool in Photoshop can be used to select a specific area of an image for editing. However, if used incorrectly, it can result in unwanted changes to the image.

To do this, go to Select > Refine Edge. In the refine edge dialog box, use the options to adjust the selection. You can also use this dialog box to feather the edges of the selection, or to create a new layer mask from the selection.

When you’re finished refining the selection, click OK to close the dialog box. You can now use the move tool to move or resize the selected object. You can also add a layer mask to hide or show parts of the object.

The lasso tool is a great way to quickly select an object in Photoshop. With a little practice, you can get great results.
