How Do You Remove the Background of a Picture in Photoshop Mobile?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:16 am

There are a few different ways that you can remove the background of a picture in Photoshop Mobile. One way is to use the Quick Selection Tool. With the Quick Selection Tool selected, tap on the area of the image that you want to remove. Photoshop will automatically select the area around it. If you want to add to the selection, hold down the shift key and tap on the area that you want to add. To remove from the selection, hold down the Alt key and tap on the area that you want to remove. Once you have your selection made, go to Select and choose Inverse. This will inverse your selection so that everything but your selection is highlighted. Then, go to Edit in the bottom right-hand corner and tap on Fill.

In the drop-down menu, select Content-Aware and hit OK. Photoshop will try its best to fill in the selected area with surrounding pixels.

Another way to remove the background of an image is by using the Magic Wand Tool. With the Magic Wand Tool selected, tap on the area of the image that you want to remove. Photoshop will automatically select all pixels that are similar in color to the one tapped on. However, sometimes this tool will select more than just the background. If this happens, hold down shift and tap on areas of similar color until everything but your desired selection is selected.

Once again, go to Select and choose Inverse. Then, go to Edit in
the bottom right-hand corner and tap on Fill. In
the drop-down menu, select Content-Aware and hit OK.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop Mobile, we recommend that you do not attempt to remove the background of a picture. Doing so could result in the loss of important image data.

Photoshop will try its best to fill in
the selected area with surrounding pixels.

Conclusion:

Both of these methods are fairly simple and only require a few taps to complete.
