How Do You Tilt Angles in Photoshop?

There are a few different ways that you can tilt angles in Photoshop depending on what you are trying to achieve with your project.

Shearing

The shearing method is useful if you want to create a more organic look with your project.

1) With your project open in Photoshop, select “Shear” from your toolbar.

2) Click and drag on your image in order to create a tilting effect.

This technique is best used sparingly as too much tilting can result in a distorted picture that looks unnatural.

Free Transform

The free transform method is useful if you need more precise control over your tilting.

1) With your project open in Photoshop, go to “Edit” > “Free Transform” or use the shortcut “Ctrl+T”.

2) A box will appear around your layer with 8 small squares at each corner and midpoint.

3) Click and drag on one of these squares in order to change the shape of your layer.

4) When you are happy with your transformation, press “Enter” or “Return” on your keyboard in order confirm these changes.

PRO TIP: Warning: Tilt angles in Photoshop may result in distorted images.
