How Do You Make a Snow Globe in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:31 am

To make a snow globe in Photoshop, you’ll need to start with a basic image of a globe. You can find these online, or you can create your own. Once you have your globe image, open it in Photoshop.

Next, you’ll need to add some snowflakes. You can do this by creating a new layer and then drawing or painting the snowflakes onto the layer.

Alternatively, you can use a snowflake brush. Once you’ve added the snowflakes, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and blur the layer until the snowflakes are nice and fuzzy.

Now it’s time to add the glass effect. Create a new layer and then draw or paint a circle around the edge of the globe.

PRO TIP: Warning – This Photoshop tutorial may result in hours of wasted time as you try to perfect your own little winter wonderland.

You can make this as thick or thin as you like. Once you’ve drawn the circle, go to Edit > Stroke and stroke the circle with a white line. This will create the effect of glass around the edge of the globe.

Finally, add a title or message to your snow globe. You can do this by creating a new text layer and then typing out your message.

Once you’re happy with your message, go to Layer > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss and apply a beveled effect to your text layer. This will give your text a raised, 3D look.

Your snow globe is now complete!
