A lens flare is an optical phenomenon that occurs when light is scattered or reflected in a way that causes it to spread out from a source, often creating a bright, star-like image. Lens flares can be caused by a number of things, including sunlight, headlights, and reflections off of shiny surfaces.

They can be annoying in photos, but there are ways to remove them using Photoshop.

One way to remove a lens flare is to use the spot healing brush tool. This tool will clone pixels from another area of the image and use them to cover up the lens flare. To use the spot healing brush tool, select it from the toolbox and then click and drag it over the lens flare. The area that you drag over will be replaced with pixels from another area of the image.

You can also use the clone stamp tool to remove lens flares. This tool works in a similar way to the spot healing brush tool, but you have to select the area that you want to clone first. To do this, hold down the alt key and click on the area that you want to clone. Then, click and drag over the lens flare. The area that you drag over will be covered with the cloned pixels.

Another way to remove a lens flare is to use the erase tool. This tool will simply erase the pixels that make up the lens flare. To use the erase tool, select it from the toolbox and then click and drag it over the lens flare. The area that you drag over will be erased.

You can also use the history brush tool to remove lens flares. This tool will undo any changes that have been made to an image, including changes made by other tools such as the erase tool. To use the history brush tool, select it from the toolbox and then click on the area that you want to restore. The history brush tool will restore the area to its original state.

There are a few things to keep in mind when removing lens flares with Photoshop. First, make sure that you are zoomed in on the image so that you can see what you are doing.

Second, take your time and be careful not to accidently delete any other parts of the image. And third, remember that you can always undo any changes that you make with Photoshop.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or if you are not comfortable working with layers, do not attempt to follow the instructions in this article. Lens flares can be difficult to remove, and you may end up with an unusable image if you are not careful.
