Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:32 am

Oil painting is a beautiful, timeless art form. But it can be difficult to get started with, especially if you don’t have the right supplies. Luckily, Photoshop makes it easy to create your own oil brush, so you can start painting without any hassle.

To create an oil brush in Photoshop, simply follow these steps:

1. Choose a soft-edged brush from the Brush toolbox. A round or oval brush will work best.

2. Set the foreground color to black and the background color to white.

3. Select the Blur tool from the Toolbox and set the radius to 10 pixels.

4. Click on the canvas to create a black dot. This will be the center of your oil brush.

5. Drag the Blur tool around the center point of the black dot until the entire area is blurred.

6. Set the foreground color to white and repeat step 4. This will create a white halo around the black dot.

7. Select the Eraser tool and set the brush size to 10 pixels. Erase any areas that are too light or too dark.

8. Save your oil brush as a preset so you can use it again later!
