How Do You Make a Dot Grid in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:47 am

In Photoshop, there are a few ways to make a dot grid. One way is to use the Pen tool to make a path, and then use the Stroke command with a round brush to make dots along the path. Another way is to use the Ellipse tool to make a series of small circles, and then use the Distribute Objects command to space them out evenly.

To make a dot grid in Photoshop using the Pen tool:

1. Create a new Photoshop document and select the Pen tool from the toolbar. 2. Click on the document to create anchor points, and then click and drag to create curved lines. The more anchor points you create, the more curved your lines will be. 3.

Once you’ve created your paths, go to Edit > Stroke (or use the shortcut Shift + F6). In the Stroke dialog box, select Round Brush from the drop-down menu and set the width to 1 px. Then click OK.
4. Your paths will now be dotted! To space out your dots evenly, go to Edit > Distribute Objects > Horizontally or Vertically.

To make a dot grid in Photoshop using the Ellipse tool:

1. Create a new Photoshop document and select the Ellipse tool from the toolbar. Hold down Shift while you click and drag on the document to create perfect circles.

The more circles you create, the more dense your grid will be. Once you’ve created your circles, go to Edit > Distribute Objects > Horizontally or Vertically. 4. Your dots will now be evenly spaced!
