How Do I Add Brushes to Photoshop CC?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:55 am

The process for adding brushes to Photoshop CC is actually quite simple. There are a few different ways to do it, but the easiest way is to simply download them from the internet.

There are plenty of websites that offer free Photoshop brushes, and many of them are compatible with CC. Once you’ve downloaded the brushes you want, all you need to do is unzip the file and then double-click on the .abr file. This will automatically open Photoshop and install the brushes.

PRO TIP: If you are using Photoshop CC, you may have noticed that the brushes panel is no longer where it used to be. This is because Adobe moved it to the Libraries panel in an effort to streamline the interface. While this may be convenient for some users, it can be confusing for others. Here is a quick guide on how to add brushes to Photoshop CC.

If you want to be able to use the brushes in other Adobe programs, such as Illustrator or InDesign, you’ll need to first convert them to .ai or .eps files. To do this, simply open the brush file in Photoshop and go to File > Save As. From there, you can choose the format you want to save the file in.

Once you have the brushes saved in the correct format, you can then import them into other Adobe programs by going to File > Import.

Adding brushes to Photoshop CC is a simple process that can be done in just a few minutes. With so many free resources available online, there’s no excuse not to expand your brush collection and add some new creativity to your workflow.
