How Do I Replace Skies to Sky in Photoshop?

Last updated on January 25, 2023 @ 4:05 pm

Have you ever looked at a photo and thought that the sky looked dull? Maybe it was too bright, or there was too much cloud coverage.

Whatever the reason, there is an easy way to change the sky in Photoshop. In this tutorial, we will show you how to replace the sky in a photo using a few simple steps.

First, open the photo that you want to edit in Photoshop. Then, create a new layer by clicking on the “Create a New Layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

Next, select the Gradient Tool from the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Then, click and drag your cursor across the new layer to create a gradient. The color of the gradient will be up to you, but we recommend choosing something that will contrast well with the current sky.

Now that you have created your gradient, it’s time to add some clouds. You can do this by selecting the “Clouds” filter from the Filter menu at the top of the screen. Once you have applied the filter, you can adjust the opacity of the layer to get your desired effect.

PRO TIP: This article provides instructions on how to replace the sky in a Photoshop image. However, it is important to note that this technique can result in an unnatural looking image if not done correctly. Additionally, this article does not provide instructions on how to select the portion of the image to be replaced, which is an important step in the process.

Finally, all that’s left to do is add a few finishing touches. You may want to increase the contrast or saturation of your image. You can also add a vignette effect by going to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Vignette.

And that’s it! By following these simple steps, you can easily replace the sky in a photo using Photoshop.
