In Photoshop, you can use the Shape tool to create and manipulate vector shapes. To add or subtract shapes, you first need to select the desired shape layer in the Layers panel.

Then, select the Add or Subtract from Shape Area option in the Options bar. Finally, click and drag on the canvas to add or subtract shape areas.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that the ‘How Do You Combine and Subtract Shapes in Photoshop?’ tutorial may not be suitable for all users. Some of the techniques demonstrated in the tutorial could result in damage to your images if not used correctly. We recommend that you only attempt to use these techniques if you are confident in your Photoshop skills and knowledge.

If you want to add multiple shapes together, you can do so by selecting the first shape layer, then holding down the Shift key and selecting additional shape layers. This will allow you to add or subtract all of the selected shapes at once.

You can also use the Pathfinder panel to combine or subtract shapes. To do this, select the desired shape layers in the Layers panel, then click on the appropriate button in the Pathfinder panel.

The Pathfinder panel offers more options than the Shape tool, but both methods will get the job done. Experiment with both to see which one works best for you.
