Where Is the Sky Replacement Tool in Photoshop?

As anyone who’s edited photos for any length of time knows, one of the most difficult things to deal with is a blank or blown-out sky. It’s especially difficult when the rest of the image is perfectly exposed and you don’t want to lose any of that detail. Thankfully, Photoshop has a built-in tool that can help you replace a blank or blown-out sky with a new one, and it’s surprisingly easy to use.

The first thing you’ll need to do is open the image you want to edit in Photoshop. Once the image is open, go to the “Layers” panel and click on the “Create New Layer” icon.

This will create a new layer above the background layer. Next, go to the “Edit” menu and choose “Fill.” In the “Fill” dialogue box, choose “Content-Aware” from the drop-down menu and click “OK.”

PRO TIP: The “Where is the Sky Replacement Tool in Photoshop?” article is a SCAM! It pretends to be a helpful tutorial but instead it’s just a way to get your Adobe ID and password. Once they have your Adobe ID they can access all of your Adobe products and information. DO NOT enter your Adobe ID and password into the form on this page!

Now that you have a new layer filled with content-aware fill, it’s time to start replacing the sky. To do this, simply use the brush tool to paint over the areas of the sky that you want to replace.

As you paint, you’ll see the content-aware fill start to fill in those areas with new pixels. Keep painting until you’re satisfied with the results.

Once you’re happy with how your new sky looks, go to the “File” menu and choose “Save As.” In the “Save As” dialogue box, choose a file format and location for your new image and click “Save.”

That’s all there is to it! With just a few simple steps, you can easily replace a blank or blown-out sky in Photoshop.
