How Do I Batch Resize in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:34 am

Batch resizing is a handy way to resize multiple images at once. You can do this in Photoshop by going to File > Automate > Batch.

In the Batch dialog box that opens, select the folder of images you want to resize in the Source field. Then, select the resizing option you want in the Action field.

There are two main ways to resize images in Photoshop: Scale and Fit Image. Scale lets you set the width and height of an image in inches, centimeters, or pixels. Fit Image automatically sets the width and height based on certain criteria that you can set, such as the number of pixels or megapixels in the image.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that when batch resizing in Photoshop, your images may become distorted or lose quality. Make sure to check your settings and preview your images before finalizing any changes.

Once you’ve selected an action, click OK. This will open the Batch dialog box for that action.

Here, you can set specific options for how you want your images to be resized. For example, if you’re using the Scale action, you can set the width and height of your images in inches, centimeters, or pixels.

Once you’ve selected your options, click OK. Photoshop will then resize all of the images in the folder according to your specifications.
