When you want to remove the color from an image, you need to use the desaturate tool. This can be found in the ‘Image’ menu at the top of the Photoshop workspace. Once you have selected this option, your image will become black and white.

If you want to increase or decrease the amount of color that is removed, you can use the ‘Edit’ menu and then adjust the ‘Saturation’ level. The lower the number, the more color will be removed.

PRO TIP: The desaturate tool in Photoshop is located under the image menu, under adjustments. It is not in the main toolbar.

Once you are happy with your image, you can then save it by going to the ‘File’ menu and selecting ‘Save As’.
