How Do You Make Stainless Steel Texture in Photoshop?

To create a stainless steel texture in Photoshop, you’ll need to start with a photo of stainless steel. You can find these online, or you can take your own. Once you have your photo, open it in Photoshop and go to the “Layers” tab.

Click on the “Create New Layer” icon and select “Overlay.” This will create a new layer that you can use to add your texture.

PRO TIP: Stainless steel is a very reflective surface, so it can be difficult to get a realistic looking texture. If you are not careful, your texture may end up looking like a mirror.

Next, select the “Brush Tool” from the toolbar and choose a brush that has rough edges. A good choice would be the “Grainy Watercolor” brush.

Now, simply click and drag your brush over the areas of the photo that you want to texturize. As you do this, you’ll see the stainless steel begin to take on a more textured appearance.

When you’re happy with the results, go to the “File” menu and select “Save As.” Choose a file name and format for your image, then click “Save.” Congratulations, you’ve now successfully texturized your stainless steel photo!
