How Do I Make an Image Into a Circle in Photoshop?

If you’ve ever wondered how those perfect circles show up in web graphics, it’s because they were created in a program like Photoshop. Photoshop is a very versatile program that allows users to create all sorts of graphics for the web, including circles. Creating a circle in Photoshop is actually quite simple, and only requires a few steps.

First, open up Photoshop and create a new document. You can do this by clicking File > New.

Once your new document is open, create a new layer by clicking Layer > New > Layer. Next, select the Ellipse Tool from the toolbar on the left side of the screen. To draw a perfect circle, hold down the SHIFT key while you click and drag your mouse to create the shape.

Now that you have your circle, you may want to add some color to it. To do this, simply select the layer containing your circle and click on the Fill layer icon at the bottom of the Layers panel. Choose a color from the color picker and click OK.

If you want to add text to your circle, select the Type Tool from the toolbar and click inside the circle to create a text box. Type out your text and use the options in the top toolbar to change the font, size, color, etc. You can also use the Move Tool to reposition your text inside the circle.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, please do not attempt to follow the steps in this article. Incorrectly using Photoshop can result in damaging your image file.

Once you’re happy with your circle graphic, save it as a PNG or JPG file by clicking File > Save As. That’s all there is to it! With just a few simple steps, you can easily create circles in Photoshop.
