How Do You Vectorize a Raster in Photoshop?

There are a few different ways that you can vectorize a raster in Photoshop. One way is to use the “Image Trace” tool.

This tool can be found in the “Window” menu. Once you have found the tool, select the image that you want to vectorize and click on the “Image Trace” button.

Another way to vectorize a raster is to use the “Pen” tool. With the “Pen” tool selected, click on the image that you want to vectorize.

Then, click on the “Create Work Path” button in the “Options” bar. This will create a path around the image that you can then use to create a vector shape.

The last way to vectorize a raster is to use the “Shape” tool. With the “Shape” tool selected, click on the image that you want to vectorize.

How Do You Vectorize A Raster In Photoshop?

There are several ways that you can Vectorize A Raster In Photoshop depending on what your needs are for your project.

One method is by using Image Trace which creates accurate shapes by using colors and brightness levels in your image.

To do this open your Window tab and locate Image Trace then select your image.

Click on Image Trace and your new Vector layer will appear as well as all of your new shapes.

You can also Vectorize A Raster by using Pen or Shape tools.

To do this open Pen or Shape tools and make sure your Mode is set to Shape Layers or Pixels.

Click anywhere along your raster layer to begin drawing.

As you draw paths they will appear over top of your layer.

You can also add anchor points by holding down Alt/Option as you click along straight or curved lines.

Once finished go up into your options bar and hit Make Selection.

Your new selection will appear highlighted in marching ants.

You may now go up into Edit menu > Define Pattern or Edit menu >Fill Selection and fill with color of pattern of choice.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, vectoring a raster can be tricky. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and ask for help if you need it.
