Can You Batch Resize in Photoshop?

Are you looking to resize a bunch of images all at once in Photoshop? Maybe you need to reduce the file size of some photos or change the dimensions for web use.

Whatever the reason, there are a few different methods you can use to batch resize in Photoshop.

One option is to use the Image Processor script. To do this, go to File > Scripts > Image Processor. A window will pop up where you can select the folder of images you want to resize, as well as the destination folder. You can also choose to convert the images to another format, like JPEG or PNG.

Under File Settings, select the width and height you want your images to be, in pixels. If you check the Resize Images box, you can also enter a new width and height percentage. For example, if your images are currently 1000×2000 pixels and you enter 50% for both width and height, your images will be resized to 500×1000 pixels.

Another way to batch resize in Photoshop is by using the Fit Image command. Go to File > Automate > Fit Image.

In the window that pops up, enter your desired width and height under Document Width and Document Height. You can also check the Resample Image box if you want to change the resolution of your photos. If your images are currently 300 DPI and you enter 150 DPI, for example, each pixel in your image will be made up of four pixels instead of two.

Save As is another method you can use for batch resizing in Photoshop. Go to File > Save As.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that batch resizing in Photoshop may not be suitable for all types of images. If you are not familiar with the process, we recommend that you ask a professional for help.
