How Do I Make a Hexagon in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:01 pm

A hexagon is a six-sided polygon. It is a two-dimensional shape with six sides and six angles.

Hexagons are found in nature, in honeycombs and in snowflakes. They are also found in man-made objects such as stop signs and hubcaps.

In Photoshop, there are a few different ways to create a hexagon. The easiest way is to use the Polygon Tool.

PRO TIP: This article contains instructions on how to make a hexagon in Photoshop. However, it is important to note that these instructions are for an older version of Photoshop. If you are using a newer version of Photoshop, the steps may be different.

With the Polygon Tool selected, click and drag on the canvas to create a hexagon shape. The sides of the hexagon will be straight lines and the angles will be 60 degrees.

Another way to create a hexagon in Photoshop is to use the Pen Tool. With the Pen Tool selected, click once on the canvas to create a anchor point. Then, click and drag to create a second anchor point. Repeat this process until you have created six anchor points.

To complete the shape, click on the first anchor point you created. This will connect the last anchor point with the first and complete the hexagon shape. The sides of the hexagon will be curved lines.

Once you have created your hexagon shape, you can add color, patterns, or gradients by clicking on the “Fill” layer in the “Layers” palette. You can also add a stroke or border to your hexagon by clicking on the “Stroke” layer in the “Layers” palette.”
