There are a few different ways that you can change a color space to CMYK in Photoshop. One way is to go into the Image Settings menu and change the color mode to CMYK.
Another way is to use the Save for Web & Devices feature and select CMYK from the drop-down menu. Finally, you can also use the Edit Colors/Convert to Profile command.
Assuming you’re starting with an RGB image, each of these color spaces uses a different method for representing colors. RGB uses a combination of three primary colors (red, green, and blue), while CMYK uses a combination of four colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black).
When you’re working with images for print, it’s important to make sure that they’re in the CMYK color space. This is because some colors can’t be accurately represented in RGB, which can cause problems when your image is printed.
To change the color space to CMYK:
- Open your image in Photoshop.
- Go to Image > Image Settings. In the “Color Mode” drop-down menu, select “CMYK”. You can also choose to leave the “Intent” setting as “Relative Colorimetric” or select “Perceptual” or “Saturation”. Click “OK”.
- Your image will now be converted to the CMYK color space.
To save an image for web or devices:
- Open your image in Photoshop.
- Go to “File > Save for Web & Devices”. In the “Settings” drop-down menu, select “JPEG – High”.
- (Optional) You can also choose to change the quality setting by clicking on the “Quality” slider and moving it to the left or right. A lower quality setting will result in a smaller file size but lower quality image, while a higher quality setting will result in a larger file size but higher quality image.
