Step One: Open up Photoshop and create a new document. Make sure that the document is large enough to fit the size of the crystal ball that you want to create.

Step Two: Next, create a new layer. To do this, click on the “Create a New Layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers palette.

Step Three: Now use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to draw an oval shape on the new layer. The oval should be slightly larger than the size of the crystal ball that you want to create.

Step Four: With the oval shape still selected, go to Edit > Fill and fill the oval with a color of your choice. I usually like to use white or light blue.

Step Five: Deselect the oval shape by going to Select > Deselect or by pressing Command + D (PC) / Control + D (Mac).

Step Six: To add some sparkle to the crystal ball, go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise. Add noise until you are happy with the amount of sparkle in the crystal ball.

Step Seven: The final step is to add a glow around the edges of the crystal ball. To do this, go to Filter > Blur > Radial Blur. Use a setting of Around 50 and press OK.

PRO TIP: This article provides instruction on how to make a crystal ball in Photoshop. However, it is important to note that this should only be attempted by those with a moderate to advanced level of experience with the program. Those who are not familiar with Photoshop may find the process to be confusing and difficult to follow.
